Prized for its mouth-watering, succulent white meat, Dungeness Crab, has a distinctly sweet flavor and tender texture. With a medium richness, Dungeness doesn’t over-power your palate, but instead leaves you wanting more like a finely balanced pinot noir. Whole cooked crabs come with shell and carapace fully intact so you can enjoy the experience of cleaning and picking the crab just like you caught it from the ocean. Our cooking and flash freezing process captures that just-out-of-the-sea-fresh taste so you can enjoy it right in your home.

Each box contains four crab. Your crab were sustainably caught off the coast of Oregon and Washington, fully cooked and flash frozen for peak freshness and flavor. Refrigerate or freeze immediately upon arrival. Thaw before cleaning. Then decide if you want to pick and eat cold or re-heat and pick warm. Cooking and cleaning tips will be included with your order.



Why Flash Freezing Rocks

Frozen is not a four-letter word! In fact, frozen is usually far better than the “fresh” fish available at your local grocery store, which might take 5 – 7 days in transit. Instead, we cook and flash freeze it (get it below zero superfast) within 12 hours of it coming out of the water. That means it tastes just like it was caught that day, like all seafood should.

Why Our Dungeness is Sustainable

Dungeness crabs in the Pacific Northwest, like many crab fisheries worldwide, are managed by the rule of the “3 S’s”: Size, Sex, and Season. Size = commercially harvested crabs must measure 6.25 inches across the carapace to ensure they have had time to reproduce. Sex = Only male crabs are harvested. ALL females are returned to the sea. Season = when shells have hardened to avoid sensitive reproductive timing. In addition, Dungeness are caught with baited circular steel pots, which minimize by-catch.

  • Saturday Delivery Now Available! For an additional $20, we can arrange a Saturday delivery for orders placed on Thursdays by 11:59PM PST. Please select this option when you checkout.
