    Now Hiring, Portland-Area Brand Ambassadors! These flexible positions will conduct in-store demo’s of Fishpeople products.  You’ll be trained to travel to grocery locations in and around Portland to show off Fishpeople’s outstanding seafood.

    The job:
    *$15 an hour, PLUS admin expenses of up to $3 extra per demo
    *Flexible availability (Demos take place Wed-Mon)
    *You must have your own vehicle and a valid driver’s license
    *This position is PART-TIME,

    Job Requirements You MUST. . .

    Supplier Quality Lead

    Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role will lead continuous improvement of material quality and utilization with Fishpeople’s suppliers and co-packers.   The Supplier Quality Lead will travel across the Pacific Northwest for production runs, trials, and to support the commercialization of our wildly delicious, innovative new products.


    *Work closely with Fishpeople’s network of partners, building strong relationships that support compliance and collaborative problem solving

    *Attend production of raw materials, WIP, and finished products at Fishpeople’s suppliers and co-packers

    *Observe and collect data from plant floor operations on compliance with Fishpeople’s specifications, processes, yields, and inventory control

    *Utilize both data and qualitative analysis to share results and recommend actions to optimize production

    *Implement and maintain supplier scorecards for raw material quality, yield, attainment and other factors critical to the success of Fishpeople’s operations

    *Report scorecard to key internal and external partners; Develop root cause and counter measure analysis, and drive continuous improvement

    *Inspect materials, collect data and write grading reports that validate or indicate supplier non-conformance; Lead resolution of vendor claims

    *Support audits and assessments of new or existing suppliers and co-packers Participate in cross functional teams to develop and address issues

    *Develop and facilitate training related to production standards


    *Working knowledge of Manufacturing best practices, QA systems, Food Safety Programs, HACCP, and GMPs *Degree in Food Science or commensurate experience in food production

    *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    *Good command of MS Excel, Word, and Sharepoint

    *Ability to effectively collect data and write reports

    *Demonstrate excellent project management skills and work independently with little supervision

    *Experience in seafood, especially fin-fish would be ideal


    *50-75% travel requirement, primarily in the Pacific Northwest

    *Valid driver's license and reliable car are needed.
