Wholesale Seafood Sales Manager
Fishpeople is growing rapidly and searching for a Wholesale Sales Manager to increase market share for the company’s fresh/frozen wholesale business both regionally and internationally. The WSM will have a leadership role in executing the company’s wholesale sales strategy via relationships with regional and national direct accounts & specialty distributors. This position will support the sales of all species landed at Fishpeople’s three landings in OR, WA and AK. It will be the responsibility of the WSM to gain an understanding of the customer’s key objectives and strategies and establish long-term, mutually beneficial growth.
What you’ll be doing:
*Execute direct account and channel strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets of wholesale seafood from our Northwest sources.
*Successfully establish and expand specialty distributor relationships to drive sales of fresh salmon, tuna, crab and other Northwest seafood.
*Leverage a strong network of national specialty distributors to reliably sell quick turnaround transactions within the fresh seafood market.
*Work with a broker network to market internationally as appropriate to meet sales goals and strategies.
*Devise competitive market analysis and determine species / form strategies by customer as well as pricing and margin requirements.
*Assist in the development/ execution of customer and market specific promotions.
*Apply seafood industry expertise to identify emerging market trends, provide value-added support to customers, and achieve a competitive advantage for the wholesale division.
*Build/ sustain strong and collaborative cross-functional partnerships with Supply Chain, Finance and Marketing to ensure that supply is available as needed and placed to meet the needs of our customers and distributors.
What you’ll bring to the table:
*Minimum 7+ years in sales positions of increasing responsibility within the Seafood Industry, selling fresh/wholesale fish via direct and distributor channels.
*Strong knowledge of fresh & frozen seafood, particularly salmon, cod, tuna, crab and ground fish (PNW species). Knowledge of industry and network of industry connections is required.
*Experience selling into Asia and Europe a plus.
*Experience in building profitable sales of Wholesale (unbranded) fresh and frozen seafood.
*Analytical ability to maintain disciplined framework regarding price discovery.
*Excellent negotiating skills.
*Expertise in preparing and successfully presenting products in a variety of environments to demonstrate the superior taste, quality and performance of Fishpeople’s products in competitive “cuttings.”
*Strong financial acumen and experience in developing/ managing forecasting models and CRM reporting.
*Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial environment.

At Fishpeople Seafood, located at Ilwaco Landing, you’ll join a dedicated team of energetic professionals, building a strong and profitable seafood brand that focuses on sustainable resources. Our brand supports improved life in coastal communities and a mutually beneficial relationship with the sea. At Ilwaco, we buy and process seafood directly from local fisherman to sell to customers who have come to expect the best Seafood available on the coast.
The Accounting Specialist processes a wide variety of transactions, as well as input to our payroll system. The keys to success will be timely Accounts payable, on-time financial reports, accurate settlements, and the ability to manage inventory accurately.
What you’ll be doing:
*Processing various accounting transactions and maintaining records in our QuickBooks accounting system
*Balance general ledger transactions, including reconciling payments and bank accounts
*Process payroll for our coastal employees using ADP’s Workforce Now.
*Support the operations team at Ilwaco Landing with current reports and transaction processing
*Process Accounts Payable in a timely manner
*Oversee Inventory for coastal operation
*Create and maintain Human Resource files for coastal employees, including new hire documentation and benefits enrollments
*Providing general administrative support services, working with compliance specialist and Landing General Managers
What you bring to the table:
*2+ years of accounting and full charge bookkeeping experience
*Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent training and experience
*Strong full charge bookkeeping knowledge, with the ability to reconcile bank and GL accounts
*Experience working with accounting systems such as Great Plains, QuickBooks, etc., with the ability to learn new systems with ease
*Knowledge of ADP or other Payroll System, with a good understanding of payroll processing concepts and requirements
*Intermediate Excel skills
*Ability to reconcile and balance month-end financials, with the support of Accounting Manager
*Ability to problem solve, with sharp logic and strong analytical skill
*Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team

Sales Planning Analyst
The Sales Analyst position support the overall sales organization with gathering and analyzing data to predict, measure and analyze sales trends and results. The role is integral to the success of our national sales team, by ensuring availability of promotional material, effective sales forecasting, results measurement, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) all work to ensure productivity of the team. Excellent organizational skills, exceptional data reporting and analysis, and strong administrative skills are all needed in this position. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this role will be located in the corporate office in Portland.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
> Prepare detailed sales forecast and measurement from data provided in the budget and forecasting models.
> Maintain the Sales & Operations Plan (S&OP) reports for use by management
> Complete financial, volume, and competitive analyses producing reports on Excel and via Quickbooks.
> Prepare and produce reports for sales VP, CEO, and Board based on the collected data, monthly results, and forecasts to provide strong decision making tools
> Track data for sales incentive plan, performance measurements, and other internal reports as needed.
> Coordinate external meetings for Sales professionals with brokers, distributors, and prospects, including preparing samples and ensuring sales presentations are up to date.
> Coordinate with Finance, Operations and Marketing to provide needed data for decision making based on current and predicted sales.
> Utilizing the Asana funnel management tool, provide data on sales funnel to produce accurate forecasts and measurements.
> Coordinate processing of orders with accuracy and timeliness, providing pricing and timelines as needed for customer fulfillment.
> Provide administrative, marketing, and logistical coordination support to Sales Managers to facilitate successful meetings.
