Make Good Decisions with Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch

We know there’s a lot think about when you’re trying to buy and eat sustainable seafood. Is wild caught seafood a better choice than farmed? Which tuna species is endangered and which are abundant? If you need a trusted resource to help you make good choices at the seafood counter, then it’s time to download the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch® program’s app on your smartphone.

Fishpeople has partnered with Seafood Watch, committing to purchasing seafood from sources that minimize their environmental impact and helping empower consumers to make choices for healthy oceans. The Seafood Watch program uses color-coded labels to make it easy to make responsible decisions. Best Choices are species that are well-managed and caught in ways that cause little harm to habitats, such as the Albacore Tuna, Keta Salmon, Pacific Cod, and Rockfish in our frozen fillet line. Just look for the green Best Choice label when buying seafood and you’ll save yourself hours of research.
